Mohd Ayub

I'm Mohd Ayub and my place is tucked away near Hotel Raja. If you know Mohalla Vyapariyan, you know it gets pretty busy around here. Dagon Ka Mohalla has been home for a long time now. I started this because I needed a way to support my family and it just kept going year after year. Most days start early and end late, which is just how things go when you run your own spot. People stop by and we chat about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It isn't a fancy setup with bright lights or anything like that. Just a simple door and some old shelves. We try to keep what people need. Sometimes the stock runs low because the trucks get stuck, but we manage. Living and working in the same area means you know everyone by name. I see the same faces every morning when the tea stalls start up. It is a quiet kind of life even with the noise of the street outside. I don't spend much time on the computer or writing things down like this, usually I am just busy moving things around or talking to someone who walked in. The building is old but it stays cool in the summer which is nice. We have been here so long the walls almost feel like family. Nothing much changes and that is fine by me. It is just a small business trying to do right by the folks who live nearby.
