Garima International

Garima International. We are over in Basni 1st Phase at F 51A. This part of town is always dusty because of all the trucks and factories. Our building is a bit old but it’s solid. Inside, there is the smell of cardboard and whatever we are moving that week. We start early, around eight, to beat the worst of the heat. The floor is concrete and stays cool for a bit. My desk is right by the door so I can see who is coming into the yard. There’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes here. We aren't the type to wear suits or anything. Most of us are in jeans and t-shirts. F 51A isn’t hard to find once you get into the first phase area. Just look for the gate with the number painted in black. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making coffee. The water in the pipes takes forever to get cold in the summer. It’s an industrial life. We get the shipments ready and make sure the labels are stuck on right. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out. The streetlights outside don’t always work, so we have a big flashlight by the door. It’s just us doing our thing every day. No big speeches, just moving stuff and keeping the records straight in our ledgers.
