Jawan Knitting Company

We are located right on 2nd Trust Main Road in Mandavelipakkam. Jawan Knitting Company has been here for a good while now. Most days it is just the sound of the machines running and the fans going to keep the heat down. You can find us at 10/76. It’s not a large place but we manage to fit everything in. The street outside gets quite busy around noon. We handle a lot of different knitting jobs for various people. Sometimes the yarn gets tangled or a machine acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it. That is just how it goes in this line of work. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It is mostly just shelves full of stock and work tables. People from around Mandavelipakkam know where we are if they need something done. We try to keep things organized but with all the thread and scraps it is a bit of a struggle. The morning sun hits the front window pretty hard so we usually keep the blinds down until later. It is a simple operation. We just come in, do the knitting, and pack things up. Nothing too complicated about it. The address is easy to find once you are on the main road. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years but we are still here doing the same thing every day. We usually close up early on Saturdays if there isn't much to do. It's just a regular local shop.
