Modern Traders

We've been here at Amar Chambers for a while now. Jalori Gate is usually busy, especially with the cinema nearby, but we like the spot. Modern Traders handles various items for people around Jodhpur. It started out small. Most days it's just us keeping track of inventory and helping whoever walks through the door. The traffic near Olympic Cinema Road can get bad around evening, though. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered with new stock. It’s just how it goes when you’ve been in one place for years. People know where to find us. We aren't fancy. There’s no big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the door. My brother and I usually take turns at the counter. Sometimes we have tea with the regulars who stop by just to chat. It’s a bit dusty because of the road work outside lately. We deal with suppliers and try to get things out on time. Sometimes deliveries are late, which is frustrating, but we manage. If you’re coming from the main gate, we’re right near the old landmark. The building is older, but it works for what we need. We don't spend much time on the internet or anything like that. Most of our business is just folks stopping in because they were passing by. It’s a simple setup. We usually open around ten once the morning rush dies down. The heat in the afternoon makes things slow, so that's when we catch up on paperwork. It isn't the most exciting work, but it pays the bills.
