Manisha Hair Salon

Manisha Hair Salon sits right in Sector Zsb of the Bjs Colony in Jodhpur. We are directly across from Happy Handloom which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. The shop is a small space but we make it work for everyone who comes in. There is usually a smell of shampoo and hair spray in the air. We spend our hours standing on our feet and working with different types of hair. Some days are packed with people and the waiting bench gets full pretty fast. Other times it is quiet and we just tidy up the shelves and clean the combs. We have a few big mirrors and some drawers filled with combs and clips and various bottles. It is a simple setup because that is all you really need to do the job well. The neighborhood is nice and we get to hear all the local gossip while we work. Most of our regulars live nearby in the colony. We don't have fancy lights or a big sign but people know where we are. It is hard work on the back and shoulders but seeing someone look in the mirror and smile makes it okay. Jodhpur gets really hot in the summer so the air cooler is always running full blast. We just focus on the hair and making sure everyone leaves looking a bit neater than when they walked in. It is just how we spend our days here.
