Mahendra Constructions

Mahendra Constructions is run out of my office at Kamla Nehru Nagar in Defence Colony, number 505. It’s a place filled with blueprints, old hard hats, and plenty of measuring tapes scattered around. I’ve been in the building game for a while and this office is where all the planning happens before we actually go out to a site. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time because there’s always something new coming in. We aren't a giant firm with hundreds of employees, just a few of us who know how to put things together. My desk is covered in coffee stains and scribbled notes about supply costs and timelines. People from the colony often stop by to chat or ask about a small job they need done at their house. I don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, I’m usually the one picking it up. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise when we’re moving equipment, but we try to keep it down. It’s honest labor and I enjoy seeing a project go from a drawing to a real structure. We don't use big words or fancy brochures to get work. Most of it comes from people talking to each other and knowing that I’m right here in the neighborhood if they need anything fixed or built from scratch. It’s just us doing our thing every day.
