Living and working in Chopasni Housing Board means you get to know everyone on the block. Our place is at 188 Devi Road, right in the 3rd Vistar section. Dinesh Sharma has been around here for years. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, though Devi Road gets some traffic during the school run in the morning. Look for the house number 188 painted on the gate, though it is a bit faded now. We do not have a big staff or a corporate setup. Only a couple of us work from this spot. Because the afternoon sun hits the front porch quite hard, we usually keep the curtains drawn until it cools down. You might hear the neighbor’s dog barking while we are trying to get things done. It is just normal neighborhood life. Sometimes people stop by just to say hello or ask for directions. We do not mind. The 3rd Vistar has changed a bit over time with new houses coming up, but our routine stays pretty much the same. Starting early when the air is still fresh helps us get a head start. By evening, we are just finishing up and looking forward to the quiet. Dinesh Sharma is a name people in this part of Jodhpur recognize. We just try to do our bit every day without making too much noise about it.
