Madhur Professional Makeup And Hair Artist

Jodhpur is a city that never really seems to sleep, and Jalori Gate is right in the middle of all that chaos. We are located near Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, so there is always an ambulance or a crowd of people nearby. Being a makeup and hair artist in this part of town means things get very busy during the wedding season. The shop is filled with bags, brushes, and different types of hair pins. It looks a bit unorganized sometimes when we have several clients at once, but that is just how it goes when everyone is in a hurry to get to a ceremony. I spend most of my day standing under the lights, working on someone’s hair or trying to get the eyeliner just right. The hospital nearby brings a lot of foot traffic past our door, and sometimes people wander in just to ask for directions or to escape the sun for a minute. The walls are painted a simple color, nothing too bright, because the makeup supplies add enough color on their own. We don't really have a big staff, so it's just us doing the work and talking to the women about their families and their plans. It is a lot of standing and moving around, but you get used to the pace of Jalori Gate after a while. Jodhpur life is fast but we find our rhythm.
