Madan Hair and Beauty Saloon is located right on Chopasni Road. If you are looking for Dhanlaxmi Bank, we are just near there. This part of Jodhpur is always crowded with people going to the bank or visiting the other shops nearby. Our space isn't huge, but we make it work with the room we have. We’ve got the usual setup with mirrors along the wall and some small shelves for our combs and spray bottles. The morning light hits the front window quite brightly, which is nice until the afternoon heat starts to build up. We spend most of our time here just working through the queue of people who stop by. Some days it’s mostly young kids getting haircuts for school, and other days we get the older men who have been coming to us for years. It is interesting to see how the styles change, but many people just want the same cut every time. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people just see the shop when they are walking past or hear about us from their friends. We keep the scissors sharp and the combs clean. It’s a simple life for us. Between customers, we might sit on the small bench outside for a minute to breathe the air. It gets noisy with all the bikes on Chopasni Road, but you get used to it after you have been here for a while.
