Kharadi Wood Crafts

Out here on Water Works Road in Bilara, things move at a slightly different pace. Kharadi Wood Crafts is where we spend our time. It’s a practical sort of place. We have the wood delivered, and then we get to work. There isn’t much to see from the outside other than the workshop doors and maybe some piles of offcuts near the back. We don’t have a marketing team or a polished office. It’s just a shop where we make things out of wood. The air usually smells like cedar or whatever else we are cutting that day. We've lived in Bilara for a long time, so we know most of the people who pass by. It's a local operation through and through. We don't try to be anything we aren't. If the machines are running, it’s hard to talk, so we usually take our breaks together when things are quiet. The road can get a bit muddy when it rains, but otherwise, it's a good spot for us. We keep our tools sharp and our benches clear as much as we can. It’s honest work. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the pieces we put out are solid and done correctly. If you’re ever near the water works, you might hear us working away in the afternoon heat.
