Down here at 113-B in the K.A. Project area of Khara, things are mostly about the work on the floor. It is an industrial spot, so there is always the sound of machines or trucks moving nearby. Our place is basically a big shed where we handle the production. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear your best clothes because of the grease and the metal shavings. We have been in Khara for some time now. The roads around here aren’t the best, especially when it rains and everything turns into a bit of a mess. But we have got our routine down. We show up, check the machines, and start the day's run. My cousin helps out with the books in the little room up front, and we have a few local guys who handle the heavy lifting. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who know us or from other businesses in the project area. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a long break then to eat and rest. The office is just a partitioned corner with a desk that has seen better days. We keep the spare parts on the high shelves so they don’t get lost. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we work Sundays if a big order needs to get out, but we try to avoid that if we can.
