If you head down Salawas Road, you’ll find us at 23/6 in the Viswakarma Shilp Gram. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, which means we have a bit more space but also a bit more dust from the road. We spend most of our time out in the yard or in the small shed we use for an office. The sun gets quite hot out here, especially in the middle of the day. Working with metals means our hands are usually dirty, and the clothes don't stay clean for long. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm; we are just a local place where you can get metal without any trouble. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We keep a variety of stock, though it changes depending on what’s been coming in. It’s a practical kind of life out here on Salawas Road. We handle the lifting and the cutting ourselves mostly. People come by with their own trucks sometimes to pick things up. We don't have a slick website or a receptionist. If you call, one of us will just pick up the phone while we're working. It’s just how we run things, keeping it basic and focusing on the physical work that needs doing. We’ve been at this a while and know our way around the materials.
