Jodhpur Hair Cutting Saloon

Out here on Chopasni Road in Jodhpur, it gets really dusty and dry most of the year. Our shop is in 16 Sector, not far from the SBI ATM. It is a good location because people stop by while they are out running errands or getting cash. We have a few chairs and the mirrors are quite large so you can see everything. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we have to pull the curtains a bit to keep the heat out. Jodhpur is a beautiful city but the sun is very strong. We try to keep some cold water for anyone who comes in feeling thirsty. I have been working at this shop for quite some time now. We do all the basic cuts and shaves that people ask for. There is always a bit of a line on the weekends when everyone is off work. We do not have any fancy magazines to read, just some local newspapers from the morning. The conversation is usually about the local cricket matches or how much things cost at the market. We use traditional methods and simple tools for our work. It is not a very polished place, but it is clean and we do our best. You can hear the bikes zooming past on the main road all day long. Jodhpur Hair Cutting Saloon is just a regular spot for the folks around here.
