Jitendra Salon

My shop, Jitendra Salon, is right in the middle of the Main Market over in Madhuban Colony. If you know where Jodhpur Sweets is, then you are basically right there because we are very close to them. It is a busy spot in the 342005 area. I spend most of my day looking out the window at the people walking by. Jodhpur can get very warm, so people like to come in to rest for a bit while I work on their hair. I don't use any fancy words to describe what I do. I just pick up the tools and start working. The shop is small and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to me. I have some old posters on the wall that have been there since I started. Some of the guys from the colony have been coming to me since they were kids and now they bring their own children. It makes me feel a bit old but it is nice to see families growing up. The market can get really loud with all the scooters and people shouting, but inside it is mostly just the sound of my scissors clicking. I try to keep things simple and straightforward. No big promises, just a place to sit down and get a tidy look. There is no need for anything more than that in a place like this.
