Located right on Salawas Road in Sangriya, near Bhomiya Ka Than, our yard is usually a pretty busy place. We spend most of our days out there dealing with the dust and the heat. When a truck shows up with bricks or sand, everything else has to stop so we can get it unloaded and stacked properly. The shop itself is small, but we try to keep the stuff that people in the neighborhood usually need for fixing up their houses. People around here know us because we've been in this spot for a good while now. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to sit and have a tea. We mostly just focus on moving the stock. It is a lot of heavy lifting and our backs feel it by the end of the day. If someone needs a few bags of cement or some steel rods, we get it sorted for them. The traffic on Salawas Road can be a real headache, especially in the afternoons when everyone is heading home. It is just how things are in this part of town. We don't have a big office or any fancy computers, just a desk and a chair where we keep track of the accounts in a ledger. Most of the guys who come in are local contractors or just neighbors doing some small repairs. We have seen this area change quite a bit over the years. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy.
