Jasol Maa Building Material

Our place, Jasol Maa Building Material, is located on Malar Road in Phalodi, right near the Mahadev Mandir. It’s a good spot because people can find us easily when they are coming from the temple. Phalodi is known for being one of the hottest places around, so working outdoors with building materials is pretty tough most days. We sell a bit of everything that people might need for construction, from bricks to sand and other supplies. The yard is usually full of different piles of stuff, and it can get a bit disorganized when we are busy. I spend a lot of time talking to customers who are trying to figure out how much material they need for their projects. Sometimes I have to tell them they need more than they thought, and other times I help them save a bit. We have a small truck for deliveries, but the heat really takes a toll on the engine. There is always a lot of dust blowing around, especially when the wind picks up across the Malar Road. We try to keep things simple and just provide what the local folks need. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and the sun can be brutal, but we are used to it by now. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to pull in. It’s a decent way to spend the day.
