Janta Beauti Salon

Janta Beauti Salon is tucked away in Kamla Nehru Nagar, Jodhpur, right near where the Icicles Bank is. Most people find us because they live in the area or they are doing their banking nearby. The shop is a simple one. We have a few stations set up for hair and whatever else people need. It is not one of those places with a fancy lobby. Instead, we have a few chairs where you can sit and wait your turn. We try to keep the place cool because the Jodhpur sun can be really intense most of the year. The walls are painted a light color to make it feel a bit more open. We have been here for a while and we know the families around the block. It is quiet in the afternoons, but things pick up in the evenings when people are heading home. We just do our work and keep things moving. There is no big secret to how we run things. We just show up, open the shutters, and wait for the first customer of the day. It is a local place for local people. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the shop next door while we work between customers. It is those little things that make the day go by. We are just happy to have a steady spot in Kamla Nehru Nagar where we can earn a living and see our neighbors.
