The machines are old and they make a lot of noise, but they still work fine for what we need. It is mostly just grease and metal everywhere. We spend most of our mornings getting the tools ready and checking on whatever project is sitting on the floor. It is not the cleanest place, but engineering is messy work anyway. Most of our neighbors are also doing some kind of manufacturing or industrial stuff. We see the same faces every day. Sometimes people get lost trying to find us because of all the small lanes, but once you find the ice factory, it is easy. We do not have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We stay late if a job needs finishing. There is always tea being made in the corner. We do not use any big fancy words to describe what we do. We just fix things and build things when people ask us to. It is a solid way to make a living and we take it one day at a time.
