Chima Impex

Chima Impex is based out of 33/34 in the Heavy Industrial Area. It’s a big space because we need the room for all the machinery and materials. The ground is usually a bit greasy and there’s always the sound of something running in the background. We aren't much for decorating the office. We have some plastic chairs and a big table where we look at designs and shipping orders. It’s a tough environment, especially in the winter when the metal gets cold. Our workers have been with us a long time and they know the machines inside out. We spend a lot of time checking the finished products before they go into the crates. Sometimes the trucks arrive late and we have to scramble to get everything loaded. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years. We eat our lunch in the small breakroom and talk about the news. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours. We try to keep the place organized, but in a heavy industrial zone, things get messy pretty fast. We just focus on getting the quality right so we don't have to do things twice. It's a simple operation, run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. We keep the gates open most of the day because there’s always something moving in or out.
