We've been here on High Court Road for a long time now. It’s right near Sojati Gate, so there is always a lot of noise and people walking by outside. Most of our days are spent just handling the usual crowd that comes in from the market or people working nearby. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a couple of chairs and the basic tools we need to get the job done. We start early in the morning, usually when the sun is just getting hot over Jodhpur. It gets pretty busy around noon. Sometimes we have a bit of a wait, but people don't seem to mind too much. They just sit on the bench and talk about the news or whatever is happening in the city. We don't really do much advertising. Most folks know where we are because we’ve been at this spot for years. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping. It’s a simple life here. We just try to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit neater than when they walked in. It is just me and a couple of others working the scissors. We don't have a big website or anything like that. If you are around Sojati Gate and need a quick trim, you can just spot us right there on the main road. That is pretty much all there is to it.
