Amar Steels

Amar Steels is situated at 68A/2 B.N.P.H., right across from the Indian Oil Depot in the Heavy Industrial Area. It’s a gritty part of town, which suits us just fine because we are dealing with heavy steel. The depot across the road always has tankers moving in and out, so there is never a quiet moment. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of steel beams and plates. The yard gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up, but that is just the nature of the heavy industrial zone. We don't have a fancy office; it is mostly just a place to sit down, take some orders, and keep the records straight. We have a couple of old trucks that we use for deliveries, and they've seen a lot of miles. The guys working the yard are tough and they know how to handle the heavy stuff without making a fuss. We don’t go in for big marketing or trying to look like something we aren't. We are just a steel yard that has been here for years, doing the same thing day in and day out. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend a Saturday fixing it, but that's part of the trade. It’s a physical job and by the time evening rolls around, everyone is ready to head home. We just keep the steel moving and try to stay organized amidst the dust.
