Out in Jodhpur, specifically in Navdurga Colony over in Jhalamand, you’ll find Adhovastraa Private Limited. We’re at Plot Number 82. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city center, but we like the space we have here. Jodhpur has a lot of history with textiles, and we’re trying to keep that going in our own way. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making honest clothes for regular people. The building we’re in is pretty basic—just four walls and a roof that keeps the Rajasthan sun off our heads. Inside, it’s a lot of cutting, stitching, and the occasional argument about which thread color looks best for a specific design. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone to bring you water in a glass; we just use the tap and get on with our tasks. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we tend to start our days quite early before the heat really kicks in. We’re just a small group of local workers who know the trade. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just pick up the cloth, do the work, and hope people like it. It’s a simple life here in Jhalamand, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We focus on the details because that’s what matters when you’re actually wearing the clothes at the end of the day. It’s just us doing what we know.
