Pitambara Publuc Junior High School

Our school is located at number 730 on Masihaganj Road in the Sahnibihar Colony area of Jhansi. It’s a junior high school, so we deal with kids who are just starting to grow up and head toward their teenage years. Sipri Bazar is the general neighborhood, and it’s a very lively part of town. The school building isn't anything modern or glass-walled. It’s a solid, older building where we’ve taught many generations of local kids over the years. We have classrooms that get quite warm in the summer, but we make do with fans. The teachers here are mostly locals who know the families in the colony. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. It’s a simple setup. We focus on the main subjects like math and science, and we try to give the kids some space to play. Sometimes the noise from the road gets inside, but we don't mind much. It’s just the sound of the city. We have a small office where we handle all the admissions and the records. It usually has stacks of notebooks and registers piled up on the table. Running a junior high school in Jhansi means you get to know everyone. We aren't a big chain; we are just a local school trying to do right by the children in Masihaganj. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: getting through the lessons and making sure everyone learns something.
