Om Sadguru Building Materials

Our shop, Om Sadguru Building Materials, is tucked away in Village Mariahu. It’s quite near Dodapur Bazar, which is where everyone goes for their weekly shopping anyway. We mostly stock the basics like sand, bricks, and some cement bags stacked in the corner. I grew up in this area, so I know most of the people who come in. We don’t have any big sales teams or glossy brochures. Usually, it's just me or my brother sitting on the bench waiting for a customer. The delivery tractor gets used a lot to haul stuff to nearby sites. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough after a storm, so it takes longer to get the supplies out than we planned. We keep a simple ledger for all the sales. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. People stop by to ask about prices or just to chat about what they are building. I try to keep enough stock so nobody has to wait, but the supply from the bigger cities can be inconsistent at times. There’s a lot of dust in the air because of the materials, so we’re always sweeping the floor. It’s a quiet life here in Mariahu. We just focus on getting the materials to the people who are putting up walls or fixing their roofs. It’s plain work but it keeps the village moving forward.
