Kelhri Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our small office is in Village Semariya at Mahipal Sahu’s place. We are a bunch of farmers who decided to team up a while back. Kelhri is the name we chose for our group. It is pretty quiet out here in Semariya most of the time. We spend our mornings in the dirt and our afternoons trying to figure out the business part of this company. It isn't always easy to manage both. Most of us would rather be planting or harvesting than doing taxes or filling out government forms. But this is how things are done these days if you want to grow. Mahipal’s son helps out with the coordination since he is good with the details and the phone. We share what we know about the crops during our meetings. If one of us has a problem with a pest or the water, we talk about it and see if anyone has a solution. We are not some big city operation with a lot of money. We are just a local producer company. The village is small enough that we can just walk over to each other's houses when something needs doing. We do not have a website or any ads. We just have our hands and our land. The goal is just to keep the farms running and maybe get a little better deal when it is time to sell the harvest. It is honest work.
