Janjgir-Champa Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated at House No. 329 in Jaijaipur village. This is in the Tusar area of Jangir Champa. The house belongs to Chandra Kumar Chandra. It is just a normal village home where we have a small corner for the company business. Being right in Jaijaipur keeps us close to the fields and the people who work them. All day long you can hear the village sounds, like bikes going by or people calling out to each other. We have a desk and a couple of stools where people can sit while we talk about the farming cycles. The papers are kept on simple wooden shelves and we try our best to keep them in some kind of order. Chandra Kumar Chandra is often around to help with whatever comes up during the day. It is definitely not a polished office. The paint might be a little old and the ceiling fan makes a bit of noise, but it does the job. We aren't interested in having a big, impressive building. We just want a spot where the local farmers feel they can come in and talk. It is a very practical way to run things for everyone involved. We are part of this community and the company is just another part of our daily routine in the village. It is a simple life and we just do the work that needs to be done.
