Siddharth Engineering & Fabricators

Our workshop, Siddharth Engineering & Fabricators, is found on Vidyasagar Path, right on the Onliyan Main Road in Kadma. We are quite near the airport, so we spend our days with the sound of planes flying overhead every few hours. It becomes background noise after a while. The shop is usually full of sparks from the welding torches and the smell of cut metal. We do a lot of fabrication work, which means we are constantly measuring, bending, and joining pieces together. The space is a bit cramped because we have piles of pipes and sheets leaning against every available wall. We do not have a receptionist or a waiting area. If someone comes by, they usually just stand by the entrance until one of us notices them through the welding mask. We have an old radio in the corner that plays local stations, though it cuts out sometimes when the heavy machines start up. The floor is covered in chalk marks where we have laid out designs for different projects. It is a local shop and we know many of the people who live nearby in Kadma. Sometimes they stop in just to chat for a minute while we are working. We do not have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It is just a handful of us doing our best to get the fabrication jobs done right. We close up when the sun goes down and start again early the next morning.
