Eligent School

Eligent School is based out of House No-6 in the Airways Colony, right on Road-A in Kadma, Jamshedpur. We aren't a massive school with dozens of buildings; we operate in a more residential setting which makes it feel a bit more like home for the students. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is good for the kids when they need to concentrate on their books. We have turned the rooms of the house into classrooms that fit a small number of students each. This way, the teachers can actually see what every child is doing without having to shout over a hundred people. We started small and have stayed that way because it works for us and the families here. The yard has been cleared out so there is space for the kids to play during their breaks. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the usual blackboards, chairs, and desks that you’d expect in any local school. Most of our students come from the families living nearby in Kadma, so everyone kind of knows each other. It makes the morning walk to school a lot more social for the parents. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the homework gets done. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place where we just try to do right by the kids in our community every single day. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do the work.
