If you head down to Ns/3 1St Phase in the Adityapur Industrial Area, you’ll find where Cordoba Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is set up. It’s a noisy part of town, always sounds like something is being hammered or some machine is humming in the distance. Our space is mostly functional. We don't have any of those modern office decorations you see in the city. The floors are concrete and they've got a few stains from oil and stuff that’s been moved around over the years. We spend most of the morning just getting everything ready for the day's work. It gets pretty hot in the summer, especially with the metal roof, but we’ve got a couple of big coolers that help a bit. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know how the others take their tea. We don’t really do big meetings; we just talk over the noise when something needs to be fixed or moved. Adityapur is a tough place to work sometimes because of the dust, but you get used to it. The gate at Ns/3 usually stays open during the day so the breeze can come through, even if it’s a bit warm. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It’s an honest way to spend the day, even if we all go home with dirty hands and tired feet at the end of it.
