We are located right on Pandit Nehru Marg, which is always busy because of the M P Shah Medical College being so close. You can usually find us by the sound of the spatulas hitting the tawa. It gets really hot in the kitchen, especially during the lunch rush when students and hospital staff start coming over. We’ve been at this spot in Jamnagar for years and the routine never really changes. We start early to get the dough ready and peel the potatoes. There isn’t much space for sitting, so people often end up crowded together or standing nearby. It’s a simple setup with basic tables and chairs that have seen better days. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’re too busy cooking. The road outside is always noisy with rickshaws and cars going towards the college. Sometimes the flour gets everywhere, on our clothes and the floor, but that’s part of the job. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly tired students looking for a quick meal between their classes. We just keep our heads down and keep making parothas until the dough runs out. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late. The weather in Jamnagar can be tough, but the fans in here help a little bit while we work the stoves. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local eating spot where people can grab a bite and go.
