If you look for Parmar Button Clip Works at Plot No. C1-294-1 in Gidc Phase-2, you’ll find us making small metal parts. We specialize in button clips, which sounds like a small thing, but we make thousands of them. The machines we use make a rhythmic clicking sound all day long. It’s a bit different from the heavy fabrication shops nearby because our work is much smaller and needs more focus on the details. We have boxes filled with finished clips stacked up against the walls, waiting to be sent out. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps over the workstations. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if some of the workers aren't related. We’ve been at this spot in Phase-2 for a long time. The roof is made of corrugated metal, so when it rains, you can’t hear yourself think inside. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines fed with material. There is a lot of repetitive movement, but we’ve gotten fast at it over the years. We don't have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If people want to know what we do, they just come to the plot and see the work for themselves. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We just keep making clips until it's time to go home.
