If you walk past the old Bedi Gate, you will find our shop right there. We are just opposite where the Anupam Theatre used to be. It is a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and winding. Our building has been here a long time and you can tell by the way the doors creak and the floors are worn down in the spots where people stand the most. Anilkumar Vinodchandra & Co. is a name that has been around for many years now. We do not really go for anything modern or flashy. The shop is often filled with the smell of old paper and the items we keep for sale. We usually sit near the front to catch whatever breeze comes through the door. It gets very loud when the movie crowds are around or when there is a festival going on at the gate. We have a lot of regular people who have been coming to us for decades. Sometimes they just stop by to say hello or ask about some old stock we might have tucked away in the back. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we have to use an old wooden ladder to reach the top rows. It is a bit dusty up there, but we know exactly where everything is kept. It is a quiet kind of business most days, just keeping track of things.
