Anant Dave & Co.

Anant Dave & Co. is over in the S. P. Mehta Market. We are at B-12, which is tucked right behind the Dayaram Library on Ranjit Road. It’s a decent spot because the library keeps things a bit quieter on that side, even when the rest of the market is shouting. We’ve been operating out of this office for quite a few years now. The space inside is filled with old desks and stacks of files that probably need sorting, but we know where everything is. Our morning routine usually involves cleaning off the dust and getting the ledgers ready. People come in and out all day, mostly locals who have been coming to us for a long time. We don’t really go in for fancy decor or big signs. The name is on the door, and that’s enough. Working in Ranjit Road means you get used to the rhythm of the market. Sometimes the chai wala comes by twice, sometimes he forgets. We just handle our business as it comes. It isn't a high-speed corporate environment. We take our time to get the details right on whatever paperwork or project is on the desk. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a lot to catch up on, but usually, we close up when the market starts thinning out in the evening. It’s just a small team of us here, doing the work and keeping things moving along steadily. We don't need much else besides a working fan and some quiet time to think.
