Taran Computers

Our shop is located at 571 A/3 in Nanak Nagar, right by Khalsa Chowk. If you’re around the chowk, you have probably walked past us a dozen times already. We mostly deal with computer repairs and selling some basic parts that people need for their home setups. It is not a large place by any means, just enough room for a couple of desks and some shelves full of routers and tangled cables. A lot of the work involves fixing laptops that have slowed down or just won't turn on for some reason. Nanak Nagar is a lively area, so we get people popping in all day long. Sometimes they just need a quick printout or a photocopy, and we do that for them too. It gets a little messy with all the wires and spare parts lying everywhere. I try to keep things organized but when three different people bring in towers at the same time, it gets tough. I’ve seen all kinds of computer problems over the years. Some are very easy to fix, while some make me scratch my head for a few hours. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working here every day. It is a local business and we know a lot of the faces that come through the door. If you need a pen drive or a new keyboard, we usually have those. The shop stays open until late evening most days.
