Orbit Computer

Orbit Computer is located at 147/13 Nanak Nagar in Jammu. We deal with machines and parts all day long. It’s a small shop and it can get quite crowded when we have a lot of repairs coming in. People bring in laptops that won't turn on or printers that are making weird noises. Jammu gets very hot in the summer so the fans are always running high in here. We have shelves full of old motherboards and tangled cables that we might need one day. It isn't a showroom like you see in the big malls. It’s just a practical place where we work. My cousin helps me out when things get busy. We usually have the radio on in the background while we open up computer towers. Nanak Nagar is a good spot because everyone knows each other. Sometimes a neighbor drops by just to chat for ten minutes while we are mid-repair. We don't use any fancy software to track things, mostly just a notebook and some pens on the counter. The floor is concrete and we try to keep it swept but dust from the road always finds a way in. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just the one people trust to fix their gear. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we lock up the shutters. It’s a lot of staring at small screws and tiny parts but we like it.
