Our office for Pushti Agriproducts is located over at the Pulse Research Sub Station in Samba. We share the space with Dr. Reena’s area within the SKUAST-Jammu facility. Being based in Jammu and Kashmir means we are right where the actual agricultural work happens. It is a quiet spot compared to the big cities, which suits us just fine. We spend most of our time looking at products and talking to people about what is growing in the fields nearby. The research station has a lot of activity, so there is always someone around to chat with about the weather or the soil. We started this because we wanted to be involved in the local supply chain here. It is not a fancy corporate headquarters with glass walls. It is more like a functional room with desks, some samples, and a lot of notebooks. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get a bit tricky in the winter, but we manage to keep things moving. We are not trying to change the whole world, just doing our bit with the agriproducts we handle. Every day is a little different depending on the season. We keep things pretty simple and do not go in for big speeches or polished presentations. If you come by, you will probably find us sorting through mail or checking on orders. It is honest work and we are glad to be part of the community here in Samba.
