This is our little office space in Jammu Cantt, specifically in Ashok Nagar at house number 703 A. It’s a government-related setup, so as you can imagine, there is a lot of paperwork and official stuff to handle every day. Sanjeev Sharma is the one who looks after most of the things here. The office is basically part of a residential street, so it feels very local and grounded. We aren't a big agency with hundreds of people. It’s just a small spot where we handle local queries and keep the records straight. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it stays fairly quiet during the day except for when someone comes in to get a form signed or ask about a specific government scheme. We don't have any shiny signs or big ads. People usually find us because they were sent here by another department or they live nearby. The furniture is old wood, and we have stacks of files that go back years. We spend a lot of time typing things into old systems and making sure the physical files are kept in the right order. It’s a lot of waiting and checking things twice. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we just have to wait it out. It’s a very practical way of working. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to keep the local administration moving along as best as we can for the people in Jammu Cantt-180003.
