Amar Ujala

We've been here in Kachi Chawni for quite a while now. The office is tucked into Tange Wali Gali, which is usually busy throughout the day. People know the spot. It's not a fancy glass building, just a regular place where we get our work done. Amar Ujala has its roots deep here. Most mornings start with a bit of noise from the street outside as the city wakes up. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. It's mostly just desks and people talking about what's happening around Jammu. The street name itself is a bit old-fashioned, reminding us of how the area used to be. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet acts up, but we just keep going. It’s a practical space. We drink a lot of tea while we work. If you walk down the lane, you can't really miss the building. It’s got that lived-in feel. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, more shops opening up, more traffic. But inside, it’s mostly the same routine. We handle the daily grind without making a big fuss about it. It’s just how things are in this part of town. No one is wearing suits here. We’re just local folks doing the job. It gets cold in the winter, so we bundle up. It's an honest place to spend the day. I guess we are part of the scenery here by now.
