Hatihana The Green Castle

Hatihana The Green Castle is our little spot right by Gorumara National Park. You can find us just past the Lataguri post office. It’s a quiet place, mostly because the trees are so thick around here. We aren't one of those massive hotels with hundreds of rooms. We’re smaller and more relaxed. We spend a lot of our time looking after the grounds and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever shows up. Often, it’s people coming to see the forest or hoping to spot some wildlife. We tell them what we know about the local paths, but nature does its own thing. The weather can be a bit damp since we're so close to the woods, so there’s always something to paint or repair. We aren't fancy people. We serve simple food and try to keep the place peaceful. At night, you can hear the insects and maybe something moving in the brush nearby. It gets very dark because we don't have many streetlights around this part of Lataguri. We just like living here and meeting the travelers who pass through. It’s a lot of work to keep a place like this going in the humidity, but we manage. We don't have a big team of managers. It's just us and a few local helpers. We just hope people find the quiet they're looking for when they visit us for a few days.
