Abhishek Granite & Marble Ind.

Our yard, Abhishek Granite & Marble Ind., is over in F-131, Riico, 2nd Phase. It is a very dusty place, as you can probably imagine with all the stone we handle. Granite and marble are heavy and messy to work with, but that’s what we do every single day. The sound of saws cutting through stone is pretty much the background music of our lives. We have big slabs stacked up all over the place, and moving them around takes a lot of care and a bit of muscle. The office is just a small room in the corner where we keep the receipts and take calls. We don't really bother with decorations because the stone dust gets everywhere anyway. Working in the Riico industrial area means we are surrounded by other people doing similar hard work. We talk to the truck drivers, handle the loading, and make sure the blocks are cut to the right sizes. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We wear heavy boots and old clothes that can handle the grit and water. Sometimes a piece breaks or a machine acts up, and we just have to deal with it and move on to the next slab. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big talk or fancy brochures. We just provide the stone that people need for their floors and counters. It’s a basic business built on hard materials and long days under the shed.
