We are located at Plot G-134 and H-156 in the RIICO 3rd Phase on Bagra Road. It is a proper industrial setting with many other factories and workshops nearby. The sound of stone being cut is pretty much the background music to our lives here. We have a lot of heavy machinery for processing the large granite blocks into thinner slabs. The air around the yard always has that distinct smell of wet stone and machine oil. It is a large plot of land, so there is plenty of space for the raw blocks to sit while they wait their turn for the saws. We spend our days managing the cutters and making sure the dimensions are exactly what was asked for in the order. It is a tough job, especially when the Rajasthan heat gets intense, but the crew is used to it. The office is just a small building on the side of the plot where we handle the billing and the occasional site visits. We do not have a lot of visitors who are not already in the stone trade, so we do not worry too much about having a polished or fancy look. It is about the quality of the stone and getting the heavy containers loaded onto the trucks on time. We often have our lunch together under the shade of the main shed. It is a straightforward life of labor and logistics. We deal with the delays and the equipment breakdowns as they happen.
