Matoshree Public School

I've been working at Matoshree Public School for quite some time now. We are located out on Chalisgav Road in Nastanpur, specifically in the Pardhadi area of Nashik. It is a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the main city, but this is where the families are. Most mornings start early because the sun gets hot pretty fast in this part of Maharashtra. We have a simple building. It’s not one of those glass towers you see in big cities, just brick and paint that we try to keep fresh every couple of years. The road outside can get dusty with all the traffic heading toward Chalisgav, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the front steps. People around Pardhadi know us well. We aren’t trying to be the most famous school in the world, just a place where the local kids can come and learn their lessons without having to travel too far away. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms make a clicking noise, and the playground gets a bit muddy during the monsoon, but we make it work. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we see the parents at the market or the bus stop too. It is just a normal school doing its job every day. We open the gates at eight, ring the bell, and get through the day until it's time to head home.
