Jijau English Medium School

Down in Kurad, Pachora, our school has been a part of the local scene for a while. We are situated in the Jalgaon district, where the weather can get quite dry. The school building is simple and serves the families living in this area. We teach in English because that's what parents around here want for their children these days. Every morning, the children arrive from the surrounding houses and some from further away. The teachers come in early to set up the blackboards and get the books ready. We don't have a lot of big equipment, but we make do with what we have in the classrooms. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle when it rains hard and the roads get muddy, but the kids still show up. We have a small staff that handles everything from the teaching to the office work. It’s a quiet life here in Kurad compared to the bigger cities. We don't spend money on big advertisements; people just know us from word of mouth. The bells ring for lunch, and you can hear the noise of kids playing for a bit before they go back to their desks. It’s just a regular cycle of teaching and learning that repeats every year. We try to keep things organized, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the school functions or exam weeks. That's just the way it goes here.
