We set up our training center at 649-Green Model Town because it is a decent part of Jalandhar and easy for people to find. Training people for the airline industry is what we do every day in this building. It involves a lot of talking about grooming, how to handle different types of passengers, and safety procedures. The place has a few classrooms and we try to keep things as organized as possible. Students come in from all over Punjab with hopes of getting a job in the sky. We spend a lot of time on English practice and making sure everyone knows how to stand and walk properly. It is not always as glamorous as the pictures make it look. There is a lot of hard work and repeating the same drills until the students get them right. Some days it gets quite loud here with everyone practicing their announcements at the same time. We have a small staff that knows the business well. The tea shop around the corner is where most of us head when we get a break in the afternoon. Green Model Town is a busy area and parking can be a bit of a headache if many people arrive at once. We have been in this converted house for a bit now and it feels like a small community. We see nervous kids come in and they leave looking much more confident. That is just the daily routine here at number 649.
