We have been set up here at Dakhni Gate for a good while now. Most people around Nakodar know where the building is. It is just a simple place where we help kids and adults with their different studies. It isn't anything fancy, just a few rooms with basic desks and chairs. We started this because there wasn't much around here in Jalandhar for extra help after school hours. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when the classes change over, but that is just how it goes. We spend a lot of our time looking at books and papers. The lights are usually on until late in the evening most days. People drop by to ask about various subjects. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that, usually just one of us sitting there with a notebook. It is very practical. We try to keep things organized but sometimes papers pile up on the tables. The building is easy to find if you are near the gate. We have seen a lot of students come through these doors over the years. Some are struggling with math, others just need a quiet place to read for a bit. We just provide the space and the time for that. It is quiet enough for work during the middle of the day. We don't do big advertisements, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It works for us. We keep the tea kettle going in the back.
