S.I.J. Chains Ltd.

S.I.J. Chains Ltd. is down Sethi Industries Lane, just off Hoshiarpur Road. It is a bit of a trek to get here if the traffic is bad, but we have been in this location for quite some time. We make and handle a lot of chains here. You can hear the metal clinking together most of the day. It is a bit of a repetitive job, but someone has to do it. The workshop floor is big and we have a few old machines that still run better than the new ones we bought last year. We are not a massive company with hundreds of employees. We are just a group of people who know how to work with steel and iron. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of old computers and some filing cabinets that do not always close right. We eat lunch together usually. It is a straightforward business. We get the material in, we process it, and then it goes out to whoever ordered it. Nothing fancy about it at all. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to put a bucket there. We just deal with those things as they come up. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write nice stories about us. We just make chains and try to keep the business running year after year without too much trouble. It is just honest work for all of us.
