We operate out of Plot No 35-I in the light industrial area, not too far from Chabbani Chowk. It’s a well-known spot, so people usually find their way here without too much trouble. Our workspace is one of those typical industrial units with a high ceiling and a big rolling door that stays open most of the day to let the air circulate. Inside, it’s all about the machines. We have them lined up along the sides, and they make a steady rhythmic sound that you can hear even from the street when things are quiet. The floor is painted grey but it’s worn down to the stone in the paths where we walk the most between the machines. We have a small wooden table where we take our breaks and have some lunch. It’s a bit of a mess with old newspapers and spare parts, but it’s where we sit and relax for a bit. The light industrial area is always full of activity, and we know most of the guys working in the nearby plots. Sometimes we help each other out with tools or just chat about how the day is going. Chabbani Chowk is just a short walk away, which is handy when we need to grab something from the shops there or find a quick snack. We don't spend much time worrying about the looks of the place; we just focus on keeping the machines running and the work moving along. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
