Shine N Looks Unisex Salon

We are up here on the first floor in Rama Mandi. If you know where Johal Hospital is, we are right across from that. It’s a busy spot in Jalandhar Cantt. The stairs can be a bit steep when you’re coming up, but once you’re inside, it’s just a regular salon setup. We’ve got the usual chairs and mirrors that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. Most days, it’s a mix of people coming in from the neighborhood. Some guys want a quick trim and some ladies come in for thread work or hair color. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside from the main road, but you get used to it after a while. I usually keep the radio on or have some music playing to drown out the horns. It isn't a big fancy place with marble floors or anything like that. We just have the basics. I try to keep the place tidy, though hair seems to get everywhere no matter how much I sweep. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, that’s just how it is here. People sit and chat while they wait their turn. It’s mostly locals who live nearby or work at the hospital who drop in. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us working the chairs. It’s a simple life running a shop in Rama Mandi and we just do what we can.
