Our yard is right at Raddi Chowk, directly across from the petrol pump. You can't really miss it if you are driving through. Sharik Iron And Steel has been operating from this spot for years. It is a dusty place, like you would expect for a business dealing with heavy metal and scrap. We spend most of our time out in the yard moving things around or loading up trucks. It is noisy because of the traffic at the chowk and the sound of iron clanking. We don't really do much sitting around in offices here. It is more about physical work. Most people who come to us are looking for specific sizes of steel or just need to pick up some supplies for a building project. Having the petrol pump right there is handy for the drivers. The weather gets to us sometimes, either too hot or raining, but the work at Raddi Chowk doesn't really stop for that. We have a routine. We open up early, check what came in, and see what needs to go out. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around the chowk pretty well by now. It is just a regular local business doing what we do every day. No big fancy speeches, just iron and steel and a lot of heavy lifting. It is what it is. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and the trucks moving.
