Sai Ram

Being in Bhagat Bazar means there is always noise and people. Sai Ram is our small spot right near Bhagat Singh Chowk in Central Town. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets during festivals. We've been here for years. It started small and it’s still pretty much the same size. We don't spend money on big signs or fancy lights. People find us because they know where the chowk is. We handle different things depending on what's in demand. Mostly, it's just regular daily business. My family helps out sometimes when it gets really busy. The shop isn't perfect, the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We see a lot of the same faces every week. That’s how it is in a place like Central Town. You get to know your neighbors and the other shopkeepers. We try to stay organized but sometimes the stock piles up near the door. It’s just how things go. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s a simple life running a shop in Bhagat Bazar. We just do our work and go home. Usually, the morning is the best time to visit before the heat and the crowds get too bad. We're here and ready to work every single day except for holidays.
